Investigators believe the mystery woman who drove accused murderer Ryan Jenkins to a Hope, B.C., motel days before he hanged himself was his half-sister, a police source has told CBC News.

Should B.C. seize impaired drivers’ cars?
The B.C. government is looking at its own version of an Ontario law that allows for the seizure and sale of vehicles owned by people convicted of impaired driving. The Ontario law requires drivers who’ve had three impaired driving convictions in 10 years to forfeit their vehicles to the province, which can then sell them. B.C. Solicitor General John Les said he is considering adopting similar legislation for B.C. that could be used against those with an established pattern of driving while impaired. Ultimately, any decision to seize a vehicle would have to be made by a judge in court, said Les. Full Story What do you think? (CBC)E Soldier recruits injured during basic training in Quebec are accusing the Canadian military of ignoring and mistreating their injuries and leaving them jobless and disabled. “I’m 30 years old and I have to learn how to walk,” said Natasha Howell. “They saw my injury. They knew it and they still didn’t do anything about it nothing.” What the doctors at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School (CFLRS) at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu told Howell was a sprained ankle in September 2005, required reconstructive surgery two years later after she was discharged. Vancouver-Fairview NDP MLA Gregor Robertson said he’ll announce his political intentions on Sunday. (CBC) New Democratic MLA Gregor Robertson is expected to announce Sunday his intention to run for mayor in Vancouver’s next municipal election. Robertson’s announcement comes on the heels of incumbent Coun. Peter Ladner saying he plans to challenge current Mayor Sam Sullivan for the Non-Partisan Association’s (NPA) nomination in November’s civic election. IOC says Vancouver on track for 2010 Games
The International Olympic Committee declared Wednesday that it was “extremely happy” with the work done by the Vancouver Olympic Committee, and promised further financial support for the cash-strapped 2010 Winter Games.
